The Fish that Figured it Out
The fish need to go to outer space. They figured it out.
This is an idle game, so players should expect it to take 40 minutes to complete!
Use different specialized fish to build the rocket ship to escape the planet and go to outer space. Will you be able to guide them there?
Left click is the only input.
All assets, SFX, and music were made during the game jam
(Made using Godot 4.3, Procreate, and Pro Tools)

There does not seem to be saving of progress?
Exit to desktop freezes the game, refreshing fixes it but my save is gone... like really :(
Also would be nice if the menu wasn't on top of everything, maybe in a strip below the game screen?
Also I have no clue what fish per ore even does, maybe add tooltips?

This was fantastic, and I love the way that it ended! I thought it was a little wild how the first resource became kinda worthless after a while (the fish were making so much of it that there was zero chance of ever using it up), but then was shocked at how quickly the third resource was generated faster than the second after a while lol. A really clever balance of stuff there.
Mostly, though, this was just sooooooo chill, and I loved clicking the fishies to get em to move faster. That kept me engaged and made it even more fun than simply watching it happen! 🧡

It was a lot of fun to watch the fish hogging the minerals!
And the ED production was great. Pretty cute how they all get into the rocket!
The only upgrade was the laser mining, which didn't get much faster and kept bottlenecking, meow~!

fantastic little game. The style, gameplay and length are perfect. On my pc with maxed out fish I got a little lag, but not terrible given all the effects on screen, Great job!
At some point there is no ressources left on the screens and the fish hang around doing nothing
